In Need For Speed Carbon when you get a pink slip just go to the safe house and clink on 'car select' then pick the car you just got the pink slip to and go to ' free roam'.

How to Pink Slip Rival's Ride:
It's known there are 6 rewards where 3 of them are about performance that's useless here so I will keep talking about the first 3 ones.
First after defeating Rival#1, go to the middle reward and see what happens. If you could pink slip the ride that's fine or you need to start from the first reward. Here I can not ensure you will get the ride but if you couldn't, that means it probably will be yield for next by selecting the middle reward or the third one. So make your target the middle reward every time and try to keep it from which you could pink slip the last ride, in your mind.
From my experience, I can say the game doesn't keep it randomized for pink slipping rides! One day, I could buy cars and pink slipped many rides along the game to get over 30 ones as total but when I started replacing one for another the game kept me losing the total every time I replace a car until it reached 11 and that was very disappointed!
